Had an Africa Twin a couple year back which rode through France, very nice bike, best colour in my opinion!
I'm off to Southern Spain (andulucia) on Sundays Santander ferry, then riding back up through France. Will be on a Transalp on this occasion, will see how it goes in comparison. Fuel economy may be better but think i'll really miss the easy "Ton" cruising capability of the AT.
Back from France ...the crossing was a bit bad All in all a good trip This lane was about 2-3 miles long. Nice to ride no la badgers on this one! I had to give this one a miss as my tyres were not up to the job This was in La Gare ...a lovely ride and some great scenery more great lanes This road went on for miles and a joy to ride ... This is Le Domaine de Trevarez Built by James de Kerjegu at the end of the xlx century Well worth a look .. More photos to follow.............

The GPS worked well all part of the fun of getting lost!! I was told by Christine this lane is a good one its got streams ,woods ,and fantastic views...and its long "next time with the right tyres or take the XR" Church in Berrin with a sad story were the Germans rounded up woman and children and put them in the church and burned it to the ground............ As you can see the road are so busy... Tank at Roscoff A 1940 tank and a 1988 tank ...Nothing changes Ready for home ...My friends gain store in La Gare Thanks goes to Christine showing me around.....and yan from the pub taking me on some of the lanes!! places Guimeac,Huelgoat,Roscoff,ploescat,Saint-nic,Pont-aven, briec-de-I'Odet, Benodet,Le guilvinec,Crozon.......+more, most of Finistere...Cant wait to go again nice people. And all bikers wave from peds to Harley's "yes Harley's"...We stopped at a cafe for a coffee..mix of bikes there supermotos ,peds ,Harley's ,and cops on bikes all chatting enjoying life...All biker friendly...

How did you get to find the green lanes - local knowledge passed on/maps/signage?
Reason I ask is because I'm going over to that area in September for a week's camping and have room in the van for the CRF if there's places to ride it! Nothing too technical as I'll be riding on my own but would be nice to sample French lanes...

Some real interesting buildings. Those roof's would be a challenge - real steep and I hate trying to do rounded stuff!! I found Hips and valleys enough fun for me.
Oh god, I hope that was Hoops on the ferry - we really don't want a double of him
