I could have gone back a hundred yards to save the car reversing twenty, and if I had known how long it would take I most certainly would have done so, rather than stare in stunned and embarrassed shock at this excruciating display
Unbelievable! Reminds me of a comment made to me by an AA man, many many years ago when I was pulling a bike on a trailer. I can't remember how the conversation started but I've always remembered his words.
"If you can't drive backwards, you shouldn't be driving forwards"
as a driving instructor, some drivers are under the impresion that you need to steer the oposite way when reversing. i think that driver could do with some more lessons, not that surprised myself, given the standard of driving in the uk.
An older lady in the village got stuck when the road was resurfaced, had to ask my beloved to reverse her car for her as she couldn't!
I've heard that Devon has the worst driving standards in the country. Half the drivers are so elderly and aged that they can't remember what to do, and if they can remember thery no longer have the motility. Half are lost because they are here on holiday and the kids in the back are distracting them. The other half have lived here all there lives and don't give a sh!t!
