Is it OK to mix tyres..radial rear cross-ply front ?

Hi everyone...MOT time is near and I am wondering if it ok ( mot wise ) to run a Mitas ET-01 radial rear tyre with a non radial dunlop D908f  front tyre...I know there is a law about mixing tyres for cars..but is this the case for bikes ?..thanks for any help.

I think the law is to ban mixing radial and xply on the same CAR axle - ie radial right front front & xply left front.
This is something that can't be done on a motorcycle so I would guess you'd be OK.
Just my view though!

Your not suposed to mix them on a road bike.
Protyre gave me a brand new front after 2000 miles when I went down for a rear they asked where the front crossply came from. I told them they fitted it to a loose wheel knowing it was for a Fazer600.
Lots of people mix them on trailbikes. Weather its the law I wouldn't have a clue.

The people who mix crossply front and radial rear are trials riders usually.
The speeds used are low and the benefits of extra grip with a tyre where the sidewall flexes as well as the tread is obvious.
At road speeds the combination will make you queasy.
Feels ok with 30psi but loses the advantage of soft rubber.
Crabs sideways on corners but grips well with 1/2 to 1/4 of that.
(Makes roundabouts interesting since it feels like you have a puncture all the time).
Quite suitable for an LDT or trials event but definitely an aquired taste for tarmac.

I believe the law forbids mixing radial & crossply the other way around because your front wheel's sidewalls collapsing on corners would very likely make you fall off, whereas the rear is considerably easier to control and you can better exploit the advantage of a tyre which spreads itself to give a greater footprint and therefore grip.
