On seeing a lorry on it's side in a field below the road on the Teign valley today I turned around to see if someone needed assistance. I met the lorry driver returning to inspect his vehicle and heard his unbelievable story.
A pheasant had flown through his open window causing him to lose control. I could not resist asking if he had caught the pheasant and he confirmed that it was still in the cab, covered in glass. Quite a challenge ahead for the recovery vehicle I saw arriving later.
