I can only speak from my experience in 2010 didn't find the events a problem and had great fun, theres always going to be someone faster than you but there was also some slower, had a great time thats why its time to have another crack at it and remember I'm over twenty years older than you in the over 40's solos class, for you it should be a doddlesmilebiggrin

I agree it is very much each to their own, alot of it seems to me to be riding style. Smoother on a 4t and bit more aggressive on a 2t.

Personally im looking forward to OSSA bringing out their 250c and 300cc fuel injection 2 strokes! They say the power is increased and the emissions are lower than 4 strokes.

Very excited to see that and hopefully will bring more 2 strokes back!

Its definitely going back the two stroke way, when I entered my first enduros (25 years ago) you'd be lucky to see a four stroke, want to get a 250 2t myself so I've got a choice of which toy to usebiggrin

Yer although ive only ever had 125 2 strokes for off road bikes. i have ridden 4 strokes motocross bikes and i much prefere the 2 stroke but i do wish for a bit more low end grunt which apparantly the 250 2 stroke has and can have with the right tuning.

i think a 250 2 stroke would be a good all round bike and give you a bit less maintenance to do over the 125 that you have to ride on the limiter all the time!

I need to see one of those up close!

The fact that you never need the power band but have it there if you want it sounds awesome.
