Gerald's Farm

At WWB last year I ran my MT43 at 12 psi and it was fine.

Depending on the size of jumps, you could go as low as 10 psi as long as your rim lock is on good nick.

Anyone heading to Gerald's Farm this Sunday?

Gonna be my first time on a track so looking forward to it. There will no doubt be some epic failsbiggrinbiggrin. (all gonna be filmed)

Gonna check out the versatility of the DRZ 400s  wink HA!!!

I will be keeping the MT43 on the rear and would appreciate some recommendations as to what pressure to run it at on the track. Also some views on what to whack in the front .

Thanks.

Danny

Dont wanna scare you but Geralds is a Very mean track!!! I would go about 10-12 psi in the mt43! If theres any rain you wont get up the big hills! I struggled with a full MX tyre there Such good fun tho for the money!

Went there two weeks ago with Gripper and James the small mx track is fun but a little tight for 4 strokers the main track well theres a thing. If there are other people out there running you have to find out which way there riding, first come gets to choose. Was taking to a guy out there he said from when you get there turn left as you meet the main track go that way round. This guy been riding this track for 10 years he said it better that way round. Your tyres won't rip apart so much. Oh it's all uphill or all down hill very hard work on the wrist. If it's dry mt 43 will be ok but it's a hard track not for me I think I am to old for that track. I manage 1 lap and was knackerd so Danny good luck have a great timebiggrinbiggrin If you cheak out me video Lopwell and lanes in the rideout bit let if run till end you should find a bit on the farm I switch it off about half way round, oh after I didn't make it up the first big hillcry

Its about 5 mins from Bere Alson or a 20 min ride from plymouth Via some good lanes. Open 9-4 1st sunday of the month and 9-1 on the 3rd sunday. Just pay Gerald a tenner on your way in to ride all day. Hes usually wearing blue overalls!

Sorry to hijack thread. Im interested to hear more about what its like living with the EXC 250. I'm considering getting one soon. Are you using it on an everyday basis or is it just for fun? What is it like on the road, sitting at constant revs at 40/50mph etc?

well i have had nearly every ktm going and the 09 250 is fantastic off road, dont drag u along as much as the 4 stroke but really is a fun and exciting bike to ride suprisingly torquey and nice to ride on road. i have only used it once as its my new toy but having a newer bike really shows the diffrance.

would suggest one to everyone ! obviestly everyone else has ther opinions but this is the best and fun ktm i have owned by far.
