Absolutely....

...but how much work will he need to stay afloat?
How much work is there for our type of bikes in Devon?
Sure there are more riders in Devon than are in the TRF (or use this forum) so I'm sure word of mouth and FB can help spread the word & generate business. Problem is many riders like to do their own work and only use a mechanic for the really tricky stuff - Realistically how much work is there?

Can Kevin survive with this only being part-time work for a while, or for a long time?

I'd be happy to support him but in the 10 years I've owned my bike I've only ever needed a mechanic once and that was to true a rear wheel, not really big business.

I want a place local I can get parts and do 'big stuff' which TBH ain't going to be that frequent - servicing and that I do myself.

If he did parts I'd use him a lot - for the spanner work then yes but not that frequent.
