exc vs sx


Other than the obvs road legal, lights and bigger tanks.

can someone please tell me the difference between a companys enduro bike and its counterpart motocross bike??   (250 exc and 250 sx)  (or any other brand)

 

do the motocross ones tend to be alot lighter??  or turn better??  handle jumps better??

The mx version can have more power, harder suspension, be lighter and have a close ratio gearbox. Some even have less gears too.

All true with the honda crf450r (motocross)compared to the 450x (enduro) apart from the gearing as the motocoss version has six gears and the enduro five, different size rear wheels as well 18" compared to19 on the r and after recently riding a motocross version wow what a difference in power it nearly ripped my arms off compared to my X

On a 2 stroke ktm, different ignition curve, single ring piston, smaller flywheel, close ratio gearbox (higher 1st and lower 5th) Much easier to stall due to the small flywheel. All the power is top end. And as rich said harder suspension settings as standard

On a 4t pretty much similar stuff tbh
