Bastards!  Although I have a black helmet (no, I don't need to see a Doc) and have my eye on a legit R1 for sale, I didn't get this one.  I hope your mate gets it back and the theiving scum who took it gets what's coming to them.

So is the little bastard in for a good kicking to break him out of these habits?

Then why has the said thief not been spoken to in a manner not to be misunderstood ?

I heard quite a loud sports bike riding round just after 2 in the morning, it went out of earshot for around 20 mins and then returned to the area and didnt hear ride off again. I would say that this bike is around whipton/ summerway area so would suggest try searching nearby parks local fields lanes etc. I will take a look in a well known area for dumping bikes today whilst walking the dog.

I have had to add extra security to my lock up as the scumbags tried to get 1 of my bikes recently, if they do manage to get in they will be in for a big shock as i have booby trapped it with 240v biggrinbiggrin

It's a very bad state of affairs, and should be totally legal to do the above...... but if you do manage to kill one of the scumbags be ready to be charged for man slaughter.hmm

Put up a warning sign with regarding electric proctection, will put off the casual thief, if its a pro then it will not make much difference.

Yep i know but fed up with the theiving scum/smack rats who think they can go round taking somebodys hard earned toys/tools. Don't have much faith in the local police as they are over stretched and to many bloody human rights/paperwork to deal with that the theifs get away with a slap on the wrists no. If i was to catch them in the act id beat the c**p out of them and dump them in the middle of dartmoor & to find there own way home. Yes i know i risk prosecution but willing to take my chances.

I recall a noisy would be theif who was caught in the act, and by the time he had been 'persuaded', (kicked punched dragged), to the police station a few hundred yards away he was in quite a mess. The policeman who took statements took pains to try to make those who had performed the citizens arrest understand the law's stance on using reasonable force to do so before he would even begin to put pen to paper.

Trying to kill someone by electrocution would possibly not fall under the definition of reasonable, although you would definitely be doing the human gene pool a favour.

Further police advice on weapons. If you should choose to keep a weapon by your bed for self defence then be very sure to keep two, just in case your would be thief comes unarmed, so you can reasonably claim self defence.

Can you make it look like whatever you have electrified has happened accidentally?
- loose wire from an over head light which must have fallen and come into contact with your bike.

I went through this mental process where I lived before as some 15 year olds tried to make off with my bike, they were stopped by my neighbour shouting at them and the disk lock that is always on my bike when garaged.
