If you look, the route is U shaped, go up 018, from North to South. None of it is tarmaced and you can go right to the very end, where you'll meet a road

If you don't have any mapping at all, try this http://maps.the-hug.net/

I was wondering if anyone here has ridden any lanes in this area, of particular interest to me are the following lanes;

181-009

181-016

181-015

181-023

If so can anyone give me some pointers on what to expect, im thinking of going exploring with a friend to see what these lanes are like, I dont think theres many members out this way that use these routes so im keen to explore. I understand its mighty close to the somerset border so its no wonder people arnt up this way much!! Any info would be great chaps..

Yep all 4 are good lanes and used by a few of us, nothing hairy about them, be worth doing 181-018 as well, go up to the top where you'll come to a T-junction, turn right and down the hill! You'll have fun if you try to go back up it The only one to watch out for in that area is 181-004, especially if you're a novice, but mind you I always include it in my novice runs, as I always forewarn them beforehand

I can't at the mo mate, doing work on the bike, plus I've got wrong tyres on(dual sport for some road work). Once I get back from my trip in 3 weeks I'll be out. Give Olly Pyke or Jack(Delvey) a pm as they go out that way.

181-007 is one of my Fav's for the great terrian and how it gently hides itself, ask Harty, if it weren't for him and his lads that lane would still be un rideable (hale the mighty lane clearers) biggrinbiggrinbiggrin

Might go out that way in a few weeks say mid of Feb, can't until coz i'm tied up with lane clearing duties smile

Great area to ride in tho and your right doesn't see a lot of 2 wheeled engine activity but you know people could remedy this wink

Laterz smile

I've just been using google earth to see roughly where the routes are but I think I'm gonna need to sort some paper maps out as the lanes arnt even on the aerial view on google earth it's just a white line indicating the rough route.
