Watch your backs on the trails

Have you seen any of these bikes on Devon's lanes?

Zero Motorcycles has followed the launch of its 2013 consumer range with special versions of its Dual Sport and Street models designed for law enforcement and security patrols.

This CLICKY THINGY site gives some details, and video, of the electric POLICE bikes.

It can only be a matter of time before UK police start using them.

I don't think one of those would get far on the average Devon lane. We'd spend all our time rescuing them!

With all those panniers, boxes and bits a badger is going to be spectacular

I very much doubt it with the current budget constraints. The two police bikes that patrol the Quantocks are 20 odd year old DR350's

i dont think the police will get involved at what they cost.

retail on some of the road going bikes is up in the 9K's which is rediculous.

I have had a go and they are bloody good fun though.

Somebody was talking about those on another forum, he thought they were the thing of the future until I pointed out they only have a couple of hours battery life.
