Legal Forest Riders

If anyone stuck for what to do tomorrow then LFR have started running more of their ride outs

A group of us went up there last year & rode a couple of their rides & we had an absolute ball, everything was good about it; great lads leading the days & superb riding

See report lower down

"Yes we're finally back. We have dates for rides at the first of our three new locations and the first ride is this Sunday, 17th March (sorry for the short notice). We also have three more dates for you to put in your diaries so don't worry if you can't make it for the inaugral Garw ride. The dates are 31st March, 14th April and 28th April. More dates will follow in due course.

The Garw loop is 24 - 26 miles in length depending on which group you're in and it's a cracker. I'm afraid we're only able to cater for sportsmen and clubmen at the moment but we are working on big bike routes and they will be available later in the year. Places for this first ride are limited to 10 for each group so hurry and be amongst the first to experience Garw - online booking available now.

Regards,
The Legal Forest Riders Team.     "

Ride report from STRF (http://www.somerset-trf.com/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=23&t=383&hilit=lfr)

The LFR crew were great, interacting & chatting to everyone, checking everyone was comfortable throughout the ride, checking people werent struggling, allways cheerful & joking especially when one of their own sweepers messed up
so much varied terrain, everything from rocky tracks to bogs, including some of the best tight narrow twisty & flowing tracks anywhere in the country, I thought our group was quite evenly matched really, all right some were faster & some were slower but everyone seemed to be coping most of the time ! The afternoon was cracking, but cant help smiling at the thought of some of the casualties, the steep bank in the afternoon where a few went over the handlebars or the last stretch in the afternoon which was like a enactment of the Somme, Couldnt believe the sweeper on the yam wouldnt/couldnt make the first ditch & made us all wait 20 mins whilst he made a detour around half the forest (sorry- morgy said if we didnt take the micky out of him for it we would be banned from all future events !)
Really enjoyed it, & if I was allowed to come back, I would definitely want to do it all again
Thanks to everyone who has worked so hard & tirelessly to make these great events happen
Mucho respect to Allwyn for clearing the ditch on a DR, to the gasgas rider for not stalling his bike & the KX500 rider

All photo's borrowed from LFR site

Last minute planning and the group is getting ready.

This one reminded me of a soldier at the battle of the somme.....

In there is a works 500cc KX engine, Sir...

Camera was all covered in mud and grime by now so had to wipe lens a bit...
