A bit of help with Heat shield please.

Just fitted my Giant Loop to the bike for the first time. I am heading off to Holland and France tomorrow evening ,and I am a bit concerned that the bag it too close to the exhaust. So I need to get am exhaust shield something like this http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Highway-Hawk-Copper-Exhaust-Shield-/200910903646?pt=UK_Motorcycle_Parts&hash=item2ec739195e but any thing will do.

Anybody got anything suitable knocking about in the garage or know somewhere local to Torbay/Exeter I could buy one tomorrow. I am happy to bash or cut it to fit and the diameter of the exhaust is about 6" and it would need to be about 6" long.

Thanks in advance Nick.

Being a "Giant Loop" it'll be for the can.

Thanks for the repy JT, i am going to give cms a ring in the morning. The wrap idea might work how do you stop it from moving? glue it or just bound tight?

Hi Nick, I would recommend getting some fire blanket, either from a chandlers (best option because its bigger) or builders, fire blankets are still used in boat galleys , quite big blankets, and for plummers soldering pipes together were there is stuff around to catch fire. I would then velcro/stick this to the giant loop. It will insulate the heat, anything metal will just conduct it.
