Does this look like an email from a scammer?

Re my CBR....

Thank you for the swift reply. Below are my questions:

1. What is the present condition?

2. What is your last selling price?

I will await your urgent response and do also send me more pictures if available.

I will however be needing your city and post code so that I can forward it to my shipping agent who will be coming over for the inspection and the pick up as soon as we finalize the sale.

Regards,

Richard.

I would say so. Where have you advertised it, Ian?

The condition is as described in the eBay listing and the 12 photographs in the listing.  I'm not going to give you city and postcode as I get the feeling it will be stolen shortly afterwards.

If you want to buy it, buy through eBay.  Do you have a Nigerian Uncle?

The domain ianricard.com is only 13 days old http://www.statscrop.com/www/ianricard.com

The text message that started my suspicions came from India via Ireland (+353) http://www.tellows.in/num/01537293828

Not Nigeria, I'm dissapointed! biggrin

I've had a few of these.  My favourite was when I was selling a ZX10R  the guy wanted me to arrange and pay for shipping to Athens, he would then transfer the money to me once it had arrived safely.  He could only correspond via email as he was hard of hearing!!!!

Another was when I was looking for a mini digger - one on ebay was about £3k under price.  I contacted the guy and he wanted payment through the ebay payment protection plan, he would then ship it to me from Glasgow.  I replied that luckily my brother lived in Glasgow, (he didn't) and I wanted him to take a look at it first, the seller replied that it had been shipped to Plymouth for a service!!!!  Great Fun

I enquired about a jetski (on ebay) that was under the going value only to have the guy try to court me into becoming his 'man in the UK' for what I assume must be stolen jet skis and the like from Europe... Strange how brazen they are..
