Misty goggles?

I use this, works really well on both goggles and visors.

Yesterdays ride in the rain produced the age old problem of misty goggles/visors.

Looking on the national forum someone recommended this

Anyone here tried it, or what do you use?

I used Bob Heath Anti Mist spray, it was useless cry

My visor was absolutely fine until for some strange reason the Pinlock lens decided to fall apart!

The difference was obvious as the lens immediately misted up and it was only with the use of regualr sprays of Bob Heath anti-fog that I could see where I was going!

Will your visor take a Pinlock lens Steve?

Visored lid wink

Was anti full face and swore by open face - I bloody hate goggles so thought I would give a visored full face a go - Brill and am a convert smile

In the summer I may go back to my trials lid - with safety specs - but goggles, nope never - hate em disbelief

I've been using visored lids for the last 3 or 4 years & also love them.

I usually wear safety specs as well, I have the visor up on the lanes & down on faster road sections.

It's normally the specs that mist up though the visor was as well yesterday.

I have been trying recently to find another packet of Fog City Fog Things
I bought a pack of three for £7.50 a long time ago. They laminate onto the inside of your goggle lens and are superb at preventing misting. Only trouble is nobody seems to stock them any more.
Pinlock have taken over Fog City and the Fog City range currently is just the one basic full face helmet visor. Clever that, buy your competitor and reduce his range to nothing.

Anyone know where I can get a Fog City Fog Thing?

Bob Heath visor spray works well. I just wear an old pair of glasses.  Goggles are for people with pink poodles. biggrin

There was something on the KTM forum about that anti mist compound you have listed Steve. Several replies suggested it was the dogs bollox.

You could also invest in some dedicated anti-mist goggles (dual lens ones) which should work pretty well. Like these

http://www.dirtbikexpress.co.uk/search/scott_recoil_xi_enduro_goggles_-_white

I dont suffer from misting as long as I can keep the inside of the goggles clean and dry. But if you stop and place them the wrong way up etc etc then once they get damp on the inside they are a mare to keep from misting.

I also use an excellent water repellent spray on the outside of the goggles which works superbly - water beads off very easy (dont use Rain-X though as its too aggressive for plastics).
