Just heard a classic tale from an x work colleague of mine.
A few months back he paid over £4k to a plumber to install a whole new bathroom in his house. The plumber that did it was crap and in the end the whole lot virtually needed doing again. He tried and tried to contact the rogue plumber but he wasn't answering any of the calls - or if he did he hung up. Normal ****e really.
Well he decided that enough was enough. My mate isn't big (well about 6' but quite lean), he's not intimidating and doesn't look like he could handle himself so good. But who cares. He went round to the plumbers house and demanded his money back. The plumber said he didn't have it so my mate said he's not leaving without it - and if he doesn't get it right away he will fight him! He said I will fight you i may even lose, but I don't care and if I don't lose you are going to get badly hurt!
The plumber, who could see my mate was intently serious then said he could have his 2007 Renault business van. He actually went inside and got him keys and V5 and signed it over to him. As my friend left he also stated he would sell the van and then come back for whatever the shortfall was on the money he gets.
He now has a nice Renault Traffic for sale - on gumtree. Was hoping to get it for a bargain price but obviously he will be hoping to get the max he can. Currently up at £3150 no vat. 155k miles. If anyone wants a link let me know.
