after nearly every ride clean bike spray with duck oil , buy in bulk from trago mills ,GT85 excellent but expensive ?

Duck Oil every time. I have been using it for well over 30 years. It does not dry out, and stops corrosion. There are probably other sprays that do the job just as well. But my theory is ..... if it aint broke, don't fix it. Until they change it for the worse I will keep using it.
The only down side is that you have to go to Trago Mills to get it !

Id of said GT85 as it makes the next clean so easy.
Just out of interest how much is a litre of duck oil?

+1, or WD but always from a 5L tub in a hand sprayer and NEVER and aresol can - sure the propellant is what eats rubber......

ACF50 is the mutts nuts but on a trail/enduro bike its not worth it, i use ACF50 on my zx9 and Duck oil on my klx 300

ACF is bloody good stuff if you commute on a bike through the winter. Clean bike, brush it in everywhere, don't wash bike again until spring..bike will look like a minging pile of toss, but under the grime, all will be corrosion free.

When you go to use the ACF put it in hot (ish) water to warm the can up and it goes on like a mist and spreads quickly. Or it comes out like chain lube! Its great stuff but a nightmare to get off unless you use a degreaser. Ive used it for years on my road bikes and it works a treat

Got myself a 5ltr tin via the TRF when one of our members had some for sale. Good stuff and a bargain at that price. It's good for the mechanical bits but I use GT85 for the plastics wink

I just looked at the contact details of that site and it was indeed the very same Robert Uren, TRF Member that originally offered the PX24 via the club. Small world!
Think I paid a tenner for a 5ltr tin but if that put a fiver in the club kitty then I'm okay with that. :0)

Definitely.

If you ride a bike in the winter nothing else ive tried works like it. Scottoiler 365 is useless. A lot of crap does stick to it, but it ll stay there a very long time unless the treated area is directly in the path of heavy water fling from tyres. Even then it lasts a long time.

Stuff is also very good on faded pastics like switchgear. Wipe it on and offf again and it will restore stuff that is very far gone, and that silcone spray and the like won't touch.

UUsing acf 50 grease now too. Time will tell if it really does make a difference, but it does seem to last well on hub seals, spindles etc

Geoff - I popped in for one can and the cashier told me about the offer, he said the second can counted as the something bike related so I didn't have to buy a dust cap. Thought I got a reasonable deal until I read your post, I've been robbed!!!!!!
