I have tried everyway, had a dave cooper rear towbar rack but was far too unsafe with a enduro bike. Van is by far the best but not ideal obviously if you do not have a Constant use for one!
Trailer is all good, got a 3 bike one atm, that rides real nice, its a proper made one not a cheap homemade job that bounces around all ways with wheelbarrow wheels on it !
Pick up is what i use the most and its perfect for one and not bad for 2 bikes. struggle to load with 1 person unless facing down hill. But normally everywhere you go there is someone to help so its not an issue! and you can drive normally with out worrying about a trailer

What is the best way to transport a bike? I am thinking about selling my car and buying a pick-up or possibly a van! Not keen on towing really! Opinions please!
I have one of those as do a few other members - OK for my trials bike - bit sketchy with the KTM on board as it makes the front end light - but then its only a little suzuki jimny
Had 3 bikes (2 drz and CCM) in the back of brothers vito van in the same arrangement as tribeys, it was ideal but a trailer is okay too, personal preference and circumstances I guess at the end of the day..
Other option is a box trailer if you don't want to run a van and don't want to trash the car.
Keeps the bike out of site and away from road salt. Your kit can go in with the bike. You can get changed in it.
+1 if you got the space to keep it. an old horse trailer would probs be cheaper.
i have and would advise a Peugeot expert. get the 2.0 TDI 110bhp model 2 bikes easy. smaller than a vivaro and a bit cheaper too. mines got 120000 miles and no probs at all. and one got in one used for taxi work that had 350000 miles!
I have a t4 3 bikes is a squeeze but will fit but they hold there money really well I wouldn't go back to a trailer unless it was a box type there's nothing worse than getting changed in the rain after a long day on the bike
