Very nice - but not (in my opinion) as good as an original Triton.

In true Blue Peter mode, here is one I made earlier

Triton 01.jpg

Made it pre May 1979 with a pre unit 650 (6T) engine and gearbox and an ARE barrel and head with twin Amal MkII carbs.

Wideline Featherbed frame, alloy petrol tank, alloy central oil tank, alloy engine plates, alloy rims, twin leading shoe front brake.

Went to the TT on it in 1980 (visiting). aww

Came back home and fitted a top half fairing on it, then sold it.

Went like the proverbial and handled beautifully.

Pity I got shot of it - must have been at a weak moment. confuseconfuse

I have two mates who have new norton commandos, one is an se black and gold with carbon fibre wheels and the other is maroon and black with spoke wheels.

They are beautiful and a great ride apparently but we went for a ride from roscoff to Santander over the mountains and they both came home on the back of a recovery truckno

my triumph 955i was ace biggrin

Seen one built with an iron head sportster motor but not a flathead before.

Have you got nothing better to do than make drool all day JT. I love cafe racers and flat track Harleys. Now if I could find an XR750 motor.....
