So I took the CRF out for a spin this morning, first chance I've had since rebuilding it, apart form a gentle break-in last week prior to another oil change.
The Stage 1 is supposed to add power at the bottom end, so I expected a bit more front wheel 'action', which it was never too shy of anyway.
Initially I decided that the wheel still lifted OK in 2nd gear, and would lift with some help in 3rd, just as it was before. However, I realised I was actually in 1 gear higher than I thought! So, it appears the stage 1 delivers as promised. Just got to get the jetting sorted now (see other post).
