Hi, just about to take my bike test, then if i pass and have enough money, will be looking for a ktm 250 then hope to join your club :) Keep seeing you all riding up lanes near me and get jealous!! I need some advice about what gear to get please. Clothing wise, any chance of any links? I went to j and s in Plymouth who were helpful, but think i need your advice. For example, gloves, they had motorcross ones , thin non waterproof gloves, or thick waterproof ones? Also see some of you guys in protective jackets ect?? The guy in plymouth pointed me to a jacket, but by memory is not what you guys wear? Looking for the cheaper end of stuff, as starting out. The guy in the shop said there is no point in getting expensive gear anyway as your always falling off and damaging stuff :) any advice appreciated please. May have test next week, hope you be joing you soon :) (p.s. if anyone has any gear they dont want, i`m medium size about 5ft 10 cheers!

I would recommend you coming to our meeting held at the Dolphin Hotel in Bovey Tracey on the 2rd Tuesday of the month.
That way you can speak to fellow riders about gear and ride outs.You don't have to be a member to attend but it will help you to put names to faces for the future.The next meeting is our AGM so not an ordinary meeting but still welcome to come.
Just briefly to mention about clothing an armoured jacket is needed along with knee pads and MX boots, sometimes members sell gear on this site so keep watching.
