dr 350 or dr-z 400s

Hi all I guess it could beshortened to just the dr 350, thinking of one of these as my next bike (should the bloke looking at my klr tomorrow bring some cash) I had a dizzy albeit briefly and could go down that path again, but what about a dr 350? (And anyone have a nice one knocking around)  now amI missing any other mid weight smaller capacity adventure type bikes that can squeeze down the odd lane and betolerable on the tarmac for trips away?

So dr 350 any good

Anyone got one going spare

Alternatives

I wont change for a while- honestly (wife would have me knackers, she still doesn't know about the klr being up for grabs yet!)

XR400...........Isn't that the same bike that won't go over 50mph and you have to stop every 30 mins to cool down, just like your CRF450 winkbiggrin

Wasn't me setting the slow speed limit.

, Xr could cruise at 55 60 mph easily.

Crf can cruise at 60 now I have correct gearing on.

My Bikes not built for constant road work, unlike your "road " bike harty.

i have a transalp for that!

If you call a 3 hr ride home on a main road "open road " then your right m8,

i was  being considerate and keeping the group together by keeping the back markers on the 250's in sight

never again thou. And I wasn't the only one to say that at the end lol. .

I've had them all, DRZ is nice and more modern, quite top-heavy and not any lighter than a leccy start DR350. But my old DR is a crackin bike thoug, its a kick-start model and is noticeably lighter than a DRZ and starts easily, as will any kick-start bike if kept in a good state of tune.

XR400, ah, now that was a little finicky in the starting to be honest, but otherwise a good bike, sort of sits in the middle of a DRZ and DR in terms of power.
