Have you tried reformatting the memory card via the camera menu? I recently gave in to the endless prompting to upgrade the f/w which achieved nothing apart from telling me the memory card was full when it was at least half empty. Reformatting from the camera sorted it out (I previously just deleted everything via the PC).

I had the same issue. Re-formatted my card by sticking it in the laptop and doing it that way. Works a treat.

that is the hero hd settings ,dont know if they are the same!!!

the card is meant to work better if its been formatted in the go pro its too be used in i think.

ive done it
i deleted all content and formated on the camara but did nothing
i also deleated all content and the the card format on pc put card back in the camara still it reformated the card again but still 16gb card only getting 56 minutes recording time.
so i connected it to the go pro suite that i had to down load to my pc and there was a update ready for it i downloaded the update an bang there you go back to 2 hours and 51 minutes.
thanks guys im all sorted hope this helps anyone else having the same problems
