Buying from a dealer

I made an offer on a bike earlier, and had this pleasant reply from the dealer.

"No sorry I will take £xxxx and that's it,we Arnt an auction we don't barter,we don't need to,eBay auction is for you if you want a cheap bike and a crap one ok cheers"

How charming, the amount he will take is the advertised price, so no deal to be had. Interestingly enough he is advertising on eBay, yet he says eBay is for cheap crap bikes......confuse

Try making an offer on the bay and see how inflexible his prices are then.

Can't see the problem if the price is what He wants for it and its second hand you very rarely get a deal on anything these days especially second hand bit of a rude reply though I wouldn't deal with him after that reply

Two rite he iz. Funnily enough I recently bought a mint condition Africa Twin from ebay found fairly locally to me. When I asked what the reserve was he told me so I offered it and he accepted on the condition the bike was as good as it looked. Well it was and I am very pleased with it indeed. When I asked if he had any other offers he said yes but it was text talk so wouldn't deal with anyone who sent messages that couldn't write correctly.

The result was Mike 1 and text talk 0 biggrin
