Been on the look out for one of these for years, but i do feel it is a bit big for the lanes ? on ebay now at £3000 bit steep.

When I saw this I started sweating, shaking and was short of breath ! I raced one for 12 months and it was the most badly built bike ive ever had and the most unreliable
Two things stick in my mind the back brake used to just burst for no reason ,it sounded rough one day so I took the head off and the swish band was full of holes like a aero chocolate bar ,very poor casting !

They do start easy having a decompression lever, but you need to ensure that there is something to stand on to kick start it.

Noooo, don't talk yourself out of it! If you have the money get it, if you have been looking at these for years, you might not find a better one! Come on, life is short!

Very nice Doug. Why not broaden your search ? Maybe a CR500 Husky, or even better (if you can find one) a 430 or 500 AE. Now that would be an enduro or laning weapon.

Just a suggestion as I saw it the other day! I have looked at a few older cr and kx 500's in the past and had not seen one in good nick for less than 3k so thought it not to bad but obviously not a cheap one!no

I would not pay that much anyway, and i don't think the owner is going to budge.
