The Ridgeriders series showed trail riders in a good light and was wonderful publicity for trail riding generally

We could do with something like this now.

I know this is from ITV but the recent coverage of Trailriding from the BBC has been nothing but negative.

I'm not sure about their code of conduct.

"Slow speed, small groups" - fine
"staying away altogether at the weekend & holidays" - ouch!

Don't know about Nic Nolwes or Miss Uk, but Midge Ure knows this area and the lanes very well, as he used to live at Shute, I think his dad still lives there. Got to know him through other activities aways seemed a very considerate and genuine guy.

I think a comedy send up of the anti's would be worth doing and there's PLENTY of scope for material.

Comedy is always the perfect weapon to expose bigoted and prejudiced old farts. rofl.gif

Yes, I like the idea.  The scope for send-ups of rambliars and NIMBYs must be endless.  Only one problem, where are our ectors?
