Upgrade your garage floor..........for just £40

I generally have an offcut of carpet on my garage floor, something a bit warmer and less dusty than just concrete - although does absorb the dirt and oil drips etc, so needs changing every year or 2.

Halfords have a good deal on at the moment on their floor mat sets. These interlock together and are strong and washable. They provide a good level of comfort too, so unlike carpet you can kneel on these for a long time. And at £15 for a pack of 6, or 2 packs for £20, I was able to cover the majority of my single garage for just £40 and took about an hour to do. Looking forward to spending many hours sat on this whilst fettling with the bikes.

Gets my recommendation over a bit of carpet.

My brother in law did the same, it's worth screwing it down with large washers near the edges though...
But I agree, best flooring out there for the garage.

Looks familiar Mark ;0) That's what I have in the rear of my van for when I kip in it. Got mine from Trago (N/Abbot) Not sure how much it cost but it was the same brand, Rolson.

"You get this for your bloody bike but I'm stuck with this same front room carpet since 1997"

I can hear it in my head now.

Maybe this stuff in the front room and the old carpet in the garage - sounds a reverse logic plan

... but she'd still moan when you change your bike's oil in front of the telly - some women are never happy!

This works great I've had it in mine for a few years now. Be careful with split petrol though as the floor tiles expand and distort badly. Same when it gets hot in the summer.
