Husky TE opinions?

Im looking at a newer bike and the husky te310 looks good but don't know anything about them? I'm also looking at some of the ktm 250 four strokes- exc & xcf but again I have any experience with KTM as I've always had Honda in the past. Any thoughts??

I have changed from yamaha to husky this year and bought a new 310r and i must say i really do like it.
My brother has also gone from ktm to the same. They are a great fun bike but when you want serious then they deliver.

The TE310 is a cracking bike shame they don't make them anymore. The new ones made in Austria are not as good.

IMHO its the only bike I would swap my WRF for!
The fuel injection system on the later ones is superb, all 4T issues gone!
Gas Gas 300 4T gets close, but Im talking with a race head on and I havent ridden one yet, and I reckon all trail riding would be more acceptable on XL185S etc.
Whisper quiet, un aggressive, harder to ride, all the thrills of an Enduro at 5 mph etc.
No I dont want to be the odd one out!

Thanks for the replies. Sadly that bike for sale is a bit out of my price range! I've got a budget of about £3k. I don't have a road licence at the moment so would be ridden just off road in enduros/hare hounds and around the farm im lucky enough to live on.

I'm fairly tall at 6'4" and I've heard huskies are built a bit taller?

If they no longer make the Italian huskies, what's the parts situation like? Surprised I haven't heard much from the KTM riders? They've normally got a lot to say!

I'm just looking for a fairly easy to maintain four stroke that's got enough power to lug me about but not so much it pulls my arms offsmile

Why not buy a TE250 then as they are as good not just so powerful, however if you ride at national championship level then a 310 might be better.

I'm riding a crf250x and it has plenty of power for me, I just thought the te310 is a similar weight to the 250 so why not? I'm a way off national championship standard! I'm pretty new to racing events

Don't dismiss 2 strokes!

love my GasGas 300, epic bike. loads of torque low down

with a good hit  on the pipe.

Not for everyone , but I wouldn't go back to 4t
