Sadly not me, firstly as our first child is due then, and secondly the CRF had a falling out with the MOT man.

Double trouble, otherwise I'd have been there like a shot!

For all of you that had planned to ride at Whiteway in June this year I am really sorry to say that we have had to cancel/ postpone the event for a variety of reasons. Those who have already paid will be refunded. Sorry to disappoint you all

Chris

That's part of it, but certainly not all.

I have been in contact with National for clarification (& proof) that we are covered.  All documents,  including a confirmation letter from a barrister suggest that we are. As it's my neck on the line I need to be 100% certain and am expecting to be shortly.

Phoenix has been postponed (not cancelled, we will go later in the year) partly because of this element of doubt but mainly because, with our events officer being away on the day, we were struggling to get people to organise & run it. Also the caterers have double booked so no refreshments and we may not have enough riders to make it financially viable, it's only a few weeks away & not many have said they would be going (I think only 2 had paid so far).

As I said,  I fully expect to have all necessary documents soon & am looking forward to a full season of events, including Phoenix.

Thank you for a proper explanation Steve - very much appreciated!

Very many thanks for all the work you are doing behind the scenes to sort out the insurance cover. You were left with very little choice after being challenged so aggressively on it hmm

Brian

Thanks for the clarification and making sure we are all legal etc the way of the world now I'm afraid I bet I'm not the only one who gets loads of calls telling me I have money waiting for the accident I never had

Thanks Bri,  I don't feel I was challenged though.

A member who recently had to jump through hoops (sorry Martin wink) ensuring his events were strictly above board queried (in his own inimitable style) how our events are covered.

I'd rather be challenged,  aggressively or otherwise, before anything went bad than hear an "I told you so" afterwards.

As usual, it'll all be sorted soon & we'll wonder what all the fuss was about.

 Probably 2 a week.

I did have an accident but it was nearly 5 years ago & after around 100 such calls/texts I went with it.

Everything was going great, I would get a decent pay out.

It was going great until I refused to lie about injuries until I had in writing from them that if caught out they would admit they coerced me into it.

Funnily enough, after the guy on the phone said he'd check, I heard no more.

For 4 years.

Recently they've started again & I enjoy telling them why I don't think they would like to represent me smile.

Thanks Steve.  Just wana make sure the Trf in general are covered it could all go so wrong if someone sues and your not 100000% covered. All the hard work done by everyone in the past would be undone. I so hope it does get sorted. I love the events as makes a nice change for me not to be picking up litter and 400 arrows. Lol. Hope I didn't come across brash but just don't want anyone getting in trouble. As after all it was fairweather farrow and the Trf that got me into this sport. Bloody bloke!!! Lol. Cost me a fortune.
