My new son-in-law has got his marriage off to a good start by sawing my daughter's MR2 in half!
He 'says' it's to make a trike and is currently looking around for a suitable bike front-end. His dad's just bought a Triumph Rocket III and I suggested he do to that what he did to his wife's car but he didn't seem to think it would be man enough (this from a 2.3lt motorcycle!)
He's presently thinking about making his own springer forks but I did say I'd ask on my bike forums for suggestions or if anyone has anything they think may be man enough.
Personally I don't think the forks are that important as I'm convinced he's trying to make the world's fastest Segway.

Someone call Trikes I like trikes last one I built was a Ford Capri an that had bike forks 4 of them it worked well but would have been better with leading link forks . the lad's near right springer forks will work better than telescopic forks but leading link is the way to go on a car engine trike plan's for the link forks on the Britchopper site. im on there under Boxtriker best tip I can give now is be quick as that SVA Test is getting to be a bitch.

Thanks Pug, I'll pass this on to him and I'm sure he'll appreciate any advice that's forthcoming. He's a talented mechanic (with his own car restoration and repair business) but trikes are probably a new venture for him. I hope it works out for him 'cos I want a go on it.
JT: His dad's Rocket III is a thing of considerable beauty and, I would never have thought this until I threw a leg over it, a real pussy cat - well a pussy cat weighing 100kg more than my lardy 1150GS and producing 140bhp and 147ft/lb torque so most definitely too good to be turned into a trike.
