192-359 is a Bridleway

I happened to notice that 192-359, a Whitey on our overlays, is sign posted at both ends as a Bridleway. I know there are a couple of wrongly signed lanes in this area, however on checking the Devon County Council where you can walk ride and cycle website

http://gis.devon.gov.uk/basedata/viewer.asp?DCCService=footpath , I see they have it recorded as a Bridleway.

DCC PROW 192-359 as Bridleway i.jpg

A quick Google search revealed a map dated October 2011 for the agreed creation of this lane as Bridleway No 37

http://www.devon.gov.uk/htm_prow_11_132_br_37_n_popp_and_harpford_dec_2011_scg.pdf

and its mentioned in the ROW committee minutes of 12/06/2012

http://www.devon.gov.uk/index/councildemocracy/decision_making/cma/cma_document.htm?cmadoc=minutes_prw_20120621.html

So it seems its status is Bridleway.

Ive been in touch with John Leah, to update the overlays.

Another 'Whitey' gone.

This route has only really ever been a bridleway but after its construction by Aggregate Industries and before its adoption by DCC it had no status, this was only a period of a few months. I think it has already been removed by John from the latest whitey overlay

Then it's a good job that I rode it when I did!

I probably didn't break the law - but maybe I did. confuse
