Been hankering after a twin shock trials/trail bike for a while and just stumbled across a brilliant article in April 2014 classic bike featuring Grouty, Mr Drake and co smile

 

Thats it - got to get me one now wink

They are out there Jon. Craig has just sold his KLX for a very reasonable price too. You missed it. There is another KLX on fleabay at the moment.
The best bit is that when you get back from a ride, the bike is probably worth more than when you started unlike a modern one. All the best people ride old shonkers wink

Can you PM details mate - However I want something with a V5 as its going on the lanes.

Trials is what I'm really after but poss enduro......Bultaco, Fantic, Yammy TY,  Honda TL maybe XR, Ossa MAR, Beamish  - thats is the kinda thing Im after - bit of a nostalgia trip as I recall hankering after these bikes back in the 70's but could not have one, now maybe I can smile

As I say Trials really as now KJ is into it and I keep drooling over all the lovely old twinshocks at the events. Never know I may one day get brave enough to have a go yawn

Road registering a bike is easy with the older ones Jon.
I may know of a 75 Husky 250WR for sale. Very original too. This is not UK road registered, but with a small amount of fettling, no problem.

How about a Bultaco Matador? I used to ride one when I lived in Canada, cracking bike and I reckon it would be great for occasional laning.

Andy at HVA is building twin shock trials bikes, yes husky !!! they only ever built one. Andy is building them from drawings i have seen the first one looks fab. Only problem sold already.
