Oh sorry just read the title....

250 cause power corrupts - and you need to slow down, + I have a 250 and its not fair if you get a bigger one.

End of thread, job done no one else need respond - but sadly suspect they will, especially those with 450's yawn

The spot in the garage isn't even empty yet and you're looking to fill it!

I love my CRF450X Doug but some older TRF members ( no names mentioned) will tell you you don't need more than a 250evileye but then I bet they don't all drive 1 litre cars do theynodisbelief you don't have to use all the power all of the timewink

Cool - a Honda in-breds battle.

Keep it going.

I'd prefer a 350 excf

You would you "tosser on a crosser"

We are not all sheep,

I would say 450, but then again I do 100 plus mile days in Wales.

the riders I know with 250 all say the same

"great bike but you do have to wring it's neck sometimes.

Especially up a long climb."

A lot more gear changing on a 250 I would guess too.

All depends what sort of riding you doing on it.

However.... some 450 pilots complain the bike has too much go and spend the whole day exhausted trying to hold on to it.biggrinwink

I know its not the same comparison - but I do find my 250 CRF an awful lot more relaxing and less tiring than my 250 2T thats for sure. All joking apart its made me understand that more power than you actually need is not always a positive thing. But thats me, the places and way I ride - If I were doing more miles, more surfaced stuff or hooning about on a track then I would probably take a different view. Coming back to Russ's comment further up - I bought the wife a Z3 a while back and got the 2.8 not a 1.9 wink so its not always the case biggrin

Doug - me old mate, like I said try mine next week - but having ridden with you for years and seen many bikes go in and out of your garage I think I know what you should go for - how often do you ride or keep the 400+ cc bikes you have had and how long have you had and how much do you ride the 250's?

Look around you and see how many of us locals have 250 CRF's (Mike, Paul, Chris, Jack, Me)- how many have 450's? (errrrr can't think of one) - not knocking the 450's but perhaps it shows the 250 is 'proven' smile
