dvla,this new tax system does not work,just had refund back after waiting 9 wks tax'd car 1st jan sold it on the 3rd jan,tax was £156.75 for 6 mths,received letter im no longer the keeper 13th jan,so i should have 5 mths tax refund,works out £26.12 per mth, should get £130 back, cheques for £118.75,so they robbed me £38 for 1 mth,when you try ringing them its recorded message saying write to them,bunch of corrupt bastards,how many people with bother to write!!!!!!!!!!!
For buying and selling it stinks - depending on the time of the month when you buy and sell.
However being able to pay monthly is great (even with small premium equal to paying 6-monthly). And also happy I bought a Euro4 van that's tax is cheaper than my 2.0TDI A4 !!
