Noted at the weekend the CRF needed new rear pads,  while I was fitting them I gave the caliper a good old clean up and freed up the piston etc smile

Tonight I decided to have a go at the front, found one piston was a bit 'stiff' so had em both out for a clean up - fluid looked a bit mucky so changed that (my new bargain E bay bleed kit made it soooo easy why did I not get one years ago confuse) and bled em.....Lovely jubby and I can now lock the front and fall off with just one finger biggrin

 So while its still to dark to do much in the evenings don't sit in front the telly, go have your calipers apart and give them a fettle as you won't know how pants your brakes were until you do wink And again what a pleasure to work on the Honda - nothing broke, no threads stripped, no bolt head rounded off, it all came apart easy and I didn't swear once or need to use the punch bag in the garage...smile

The bleed thingy sounds good. But I don't own anything with hydraulic brakes

Oh yea - someone will tell my why I shouldn't but.....

I find that removing the bleed screw and carefully wrapping a small amount of plumbers PTFE tape on the threads helps the bleeding no end as without it the vac bleeder pulls air in round them.

Sounds ok it will seal the threads while you are bleeding but not effct the cone seal at the bottom when you finnish
