over tightened oil drain plug

hi all i serviced my bike yesterday and i have over tightened the sump bolt 

does anyone know of a easy fix or somewhere that can fix this problem for me 

a mate of mi8ne done the same a while ago and took it to yo and smith engineering but they only want the engine 

can anyone help please

You can get tapered sump plug bolts or inserts but Im sure someone will be along with a better idea as I havent tried these

just found on ebay helicoil m14 but that looks out of my comfort zone drilling and re-tapping think ill be giving jd racing a call tomorrow

good luck mate, let us know how you get on cos you wont be the last, I know horses and bolted doors but as good a time as any for everyone who hasn't got on to buy a decent torque wrench, I know its a fanny about but well worth it in the long run, especially for a ham fisted tw*t like me :)

Jon tremlett out Ashburton has just drilled and helicoiled my oil filter cover thread for one of the bolts as the thread had stripped out on oil change. Quick easy job
