Right Choice Insurance - Probably Best Avoided

I'll be brief.  Noticed that my lad's cover note expired at 00:01 Sunday morning.  He needs his bike to get to work.  RCI don't answer the phone on Sundays so I gave him a lift to work at 06:00.  I then tried every hour or so from 09:00 to get through but gave up each time after 15 minutes or so on hold.  I let it ring a bit longer whilst tucking into my lunchtime bun and actually got through to someone.

She said, "We're still waiting for a copy of the plastic part of the licence."

I said, "No, I emailed it to you with all the other required documents at 19:32 on 27th of April."

She said "Oh yes, here it is.  I'll email the policy document now."  But she didn't.

I got through to another muppet just now after holding for 43 minutes, and politely explained the situation.

She said, "I'll send it again."

I said, "Wait there while it comes through."

She said, "I can't hold on indefinitely."

I said, "I've held on indefinitely all bloody day".  It went downhill from there, but the email came through.

I must be the lucky one then ...
Ever since I have been with Carole Nash I have found it quick and easy to add or remove bikes. But I guess most will have their horror stories with past or present insurers.

Carol Nash? Yeah quick and easy but with a £35.00 "admin fee" payable.

Changed from 250 exc to 250 exc, year newer, different reg number. £35.00! Must have taken them all of two minutes.
