Evening all, I dont suppose anyone has a 904 gas cylinder knocking around doing nothing? My 907 is too tall for the little hole/ cupboard! I think the recycling centres are getting a bit sniffy about letting you have them.
If only, ive heard about this dark art but with my ham fists I could see that ending in tears. No Im just not wanting to fork out on the 'agreement' you sign and pay for to lease a scabby old bottle then pay over the odds for a wee bit of gas.
ah, I've pretty but taken the gas out of my van as I don't cook in there anymore, plus the gas bottle was taking up precious space. I have a bottle but it's the big one - the 907. After paying to have it exchanged once I look into the DIY refill for next time. Luckily it hasn't run out yet so I haven't yet blown the house up.
Thanks Rich, I might look into the diy option as cost seems to take the mick a bit. We have just picked up a cooking pod which had a little cupboard for a904 bottle, we have a couple of 907's but way too big, I went down pinhoe tip yesterday and they had every size apart from 904- typical eh!
I might bend your ear about decanting gas yourself at some point. Suspect It might need to be done away from the wife's prying eyes and helpful observations!
