If you wanted a rack copied and multiple numbers made up where would people recommend that's not too pricey?

Ill be up for one if you get some made. Or I can get some made if you can lend me the original. I Wish I never got rid of mine without copying it first. Could probably get them made from ally.

I am about to order a rear rack from America due to the lack of choice in the UK.

Finally got round to taking some photos.here's the rack if anyone could quote approx cost? Found one chap who can make up in stainless but not cheap!

not sure really ..just trying to get an idea of price as I might get several made .I won't be getting any made if they're too costly as i already have one.

JEK in Chard do fabrication, but not sure if they do little jobs, if they do and its as good as their exhausts it will be the dogs! Might be worth giving them a call.

Hi Bill!

I had a batch of steel rear racks made up by Dave of Handcrafted Steel in Bow about 5 years ago. The fit and finish (powder coated locally) was good and a very sensible price for the batch.

To save money they were made in solid steel bar so were a tad heavy so consider tube (cheapest and strongest) or aluminium.

The buyer of my old 1999 DR350 says , price dependant, he'll be interested in one.

So I'll keep an eye on this post.

Hi if I had a sample I can get them made in stainless I have racks and carriers made for all classic bikes All shapes and sizes

I cant help with the making of, but I do have a related issue.
Many of us have similar interests re making up racks, bash plates etc.
I enjoy doing it, the journey more, the result is a benefit - sometimes!
A friend and I are having a stab at a section of the TET, France / Pyrenees.
Ive recently bought a CCM 644 for this purpose, same logic as "Why the TTR is the best trail bike". (Which I dont own, by the way)
So, pannier rack, front rack, bash plate, screen mt, sat nav mt etc.
If others are interested in my pain, then I might post something somewhere re desire, process, materials, equipment, problems, effect, disasters and result.
If yes, then helpful suggestions would be appreciated, if no, then it will never be mentioned again!!

Rear sub frame is a known weak point on the CCM, it'll collapse with just the gear you can get on the tiny little rack it comes with. Strengthening of the sub frame is a standard fix on these before you go loading it up with enough gear to get to the Pyrenees.
