Dirt Bike mounted Police

I was in Manchester last weekend and believe it or not I actually saw their CRF mounted Police smile.

Two red CRF's with blue flashing lights on them.

We need them in London now to help combat the scooter crime.furious

I'm not sure where you get the idea that they are anything to do with combating crime Rich?

Coppers on dirt bikes have been operating at various locations in N. Wales for some time now in order to combat 'illegal' riding. They don't go anywhere other than legal routes, otherwise they'd be breaking the law themselves. So, rather than tackling the scrotes out from the cities (like manchester), who are riding illegal routes on bikes that may well be stolen, they lurk about on legal lanes and nick people for undersize number plates.

Not exactly the law's avenging angels.

Well..., in this video it looks like they are out to catch scooter criminals, which is why I suggested London would be a good place to deploy this type of policing.
I never suggested they were out to catch 'illegal' riding, not many green lanes in central Manchester...confuse

Wow yes, that is superb.

I've never come across dirt bikes being used in an urban environment, but I guess it is ideal 'camouflage'. I love the way he just came across and took out the front wheel of the scooter ( I have to admit to having done something very similar to a buddy on a lane quite recently blush.gif)

Yup, I was well impressed when I read the news articles and watched that video.

www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-5881963/Manchester-police-scrambler-bikes-catch-two-bikers-riding-dangerously.html

This should be adopted in more cities.

I was nicely surprised to actually see them with their blue lights flashing, hopefully on their way to grab some mobile phone grabbing scrote on a scooter.
