Describe any location - What3Words

This is a great app/ website for simply pinpointing an exact location to within 3m using three simple words.

Useful for describing a meeting point, obstruction etc

Plus more emergency services are using every day it to pinpoint locations - good for an accident.  Loads of uses.

Apps for iOS & Android.

I dont believe that they are using it officially but Im told that the control room are aware of it and it can only help.

Other  forces are already using it, so its probably only a matter of time.

As the tone of comments here seemed genuine, I had another go and got the app to work.

Every 1m box has its unique 3 words allocated ! I think this was what made me think it was a con because the words changed when still in the same location.

Impressive and really helpful when you dont know exactly where you are but need help, have a working phone and some signal.
