Shared Knowledge 2 & adjusting your suspension.

An excellent day with thanks to the effort put into this by all the 'knowledgeable' ones.

A really good informative day with loads of humour but clear information put across, & a ride around Haccadown with only a few other bikes (plus one enormous quad).

I have to say a special thanks to Kerry (Lost) who set the suspension on my TTR for me. When I bought it nearly 2 years ago i'm pretty sure it had never been off tarmac. It had dual purpose tyres & was geared for the road. I weigh around 11.5 stone, whoever had the bike before me could have been a 20 stone giant for all I know.

I changed the gearing & put on a lowering link but that was it, till saturday.

There has been much debate about suspension settings on this forum, some differing opinions and even disagreements. I have to say that after Kerry made some adjustments to the TTR it has made such a difference. It doesn't bounce around anywhere as much, it hooks up on rough surfaces, doesn't dive on steep decents & generally feels more 'planted'.

It'll never be a KTM/CRF etc but thats not what I want. It just handles on the rough stuff better than ever, a dozen laps of Haccadown proved that to me.

So thanks again Kerry, & a recommendation to anyone who hasn't done it yet, get your suspension set for you.
