MOTORCYCLE ACTION GROUP

Mid Devon MAG is a new group that covers an area that includes Exeter and Exmouth, Honiton, Seaton, Tiverton, Crediton and Okehampton, to name just a few towns.

I am inviting you to attend the first official meeting on Thursday 17th March, at the Rose and Crown Public House, Sandford, Near Crediton, Devon. EX17 4NH. (Tel. 01363772056)

Join MAG National President Ian Mutch, and MAG National Campaigns Manager Paddy Tyson, from 19.00 hrs onwards, for free sausage and chips in a basket, and coffee or tea. Join the discussions and ask questions at this open forum. Learn about proposed and impending legislation, some being directed from Europe, that will affect you as a motorcyclist, and find out how MAG intend to fight these proposals.  Hear an update regarding the motorcycle test, the Get a Grip campaign, and other issues that affect motorcycling.

If you have an issue you would like to raise, be it secure parking, road surface condition, bus lanes, training or safety, or any other local issue, then this is your opportunity.

Local MAG Representatives from North Devon, South Devon and Taunton, and the South West Regional Representative will be attending, and they can explain what they have done so far regarding liaising with the Devon County Council Roads Safety Officer, and meeting local MPs.

I know him from DAM (Devon Advanced Motorcyclists), he's busy getting ready for his advanced test at the moment.

He's a nice bloke - worked on the same firm(s) for many many years.....he's got some good tails of his many biking adventures to tell...

Runs a good little bike show at Sandford every year.

He was on about coming out with 'us' a while back to have a go and get some 'off tarmac' experiance - give him my regards when you next see him and tell him the offer I made him of a ride is always open wink
