I have a poorly Dyson DC14 Animal which has engine trouble, anybody out there who can fix it for me please ?

I tried to repair one once. Full of admiration for the design as I took it apart with some head scratching. Considerably more head scratching when I couldn't find anything wrong so sprayed the motor with WD40 and put it back together.

Switched it on and bingo! it worked.......next, the WD40 caught fire, and I ended up with a multi coloured lump of plastic that was once a Dyson.

I bought a new one now.

Had motor out of ours before - didn't think to look for a vid though and it was like a chinese puzzle and kept me entertained for hours!

Replaced the motor in our dc07 couple weeks back, easy job and cheap enough (£18 new motor, delivered!), see how long it lasts blankstare.  Suprising thing even worked when I got it back together.smile

ive noticed brunel estate newton abbot recycle centre has in the pass a selection of used dysons ? dan some i beleave repaired ?

Get a Henry in Honda red. Half the weight and it has got wheels so you can drag it and make engine noises too.
