Wanted- Devon Ridgeway

Hi all, I was just reliving some distant memories of bimbling along big sections of the Ridgeway, and wondered which lane/lanes or general areas of Devon offered something close to it. I'm after nice long open sections with as little tarmac as possible.

(Relaxed bimble not a sweaty technical)

Now I could carry on trawling through all the overlays and marked up maps I have, or one of you knowledgeble folks might just go ........... job done.

Failing  this anyone know what the longest lane is 192-026 looks a long fella, but can anyone match or beat it?

I reckon Dartmoor is your best bet. Speak to Pete who's very knowledgeable about the county

Aren't we all...

Some food for thought

Probably closest to what you are looking for would be 191-061, 191-100, 201-060 which all link up meaning you cross tarmac twice in 4.3km on western dartmoor

nearer to you 191-075 is 2.47km long and might be the longest

nearer still at 1.1km are 191-052 191-053, 191-055 all close to each other

directly south of you 192-125, 192-126, 192-241, 192-243 all join up to give 2.7km but don't blame me if you don't like ruts.

Most distance travelled with minimum tarmac would be between 202-118 and 202-069, take your pick of the lanes in between, you could use different lanes there and back easily. (Avoid 191-099 if you don't like sweaty technical.)

Do we have anything longer than 2.47km that I have forgotten?
