I dont trust bike worx after a sent them my old gas gas and they rebuilt my rear shock as asked, then a lad came out when i collected it and asked me how i got it to go so fast. so by all acounts he took it for a joy ride!!

Also didnt shake up the tank when he did so dragged all the premix oil from the tank down into the carb so the bloody thing wouldnt start! had to take the carb off, clean an rebuild and drain the tank an start again!!

was not happy

Two stroke oil does not settle out once mixed with petrol so he must have filled it up without mixing it.

Did you complain and claim back the cost of the time you spent on the carb rebuild and tank draining?

He will probably do the same to other customers bikes if he thinks he got away with it.

Don't know what to make of bikeworks booked a bike in for mot, when I got down there I was informed it would be two weeks and could I leave it with them. Needless to say I didn't, drove round the corner and took a chance at bridge (honda side) they did it there and then. Bridge Honda are pretty sorted, the guy in the workshop loves dirt bikes I really can't fault them.

That is why I said use Jamie. 2002 SW MX Champ amongst other things.

I've never had a problem with BW.

Scott at Bridge Honda used to race speedway with Jamie.  Who used to work at Bridge...

For every good experience someone has had a bad one.  You could always send it to my mate Graeme.  He used to be Capirossi's Ohlins technician, he now works with Colin Edwards.  He lives in Northern Ireland so will be at least a couple of weeks depending on GPs and where he is in the World.  Very reasonably priced though.

Why not try Dave at Greenlane Motorcycles in Pinhoe?

I'm sure someone will bitch about them, if in doubt just pick up a yelloiw pages.  Internet forums appear to be killing the art of picking up a telephone directory and reading it.  Be radical and use google!

Why not do it yourself?

This is very true mate, and worth bearing in mind always.  It may be he was too busy and stressed and i picked a bad time but by then Bridge honda was a complete contrast and suprised me!

Anyway, sorry Delve lad your thread has been somewhat hyjacked...... where were we?

mate Jamie test rides all the bikes before he returns them to customers for your safety. I bet you'd be alot more pissed off with him if he hadnt road tested your bike and fell apart while you rode it home. I know it was only your shock but he still has to ride it.

Albion mate. why have all that bother of when your choice of spanner monkey needs a part they have to get it sent to them when all they have to do is walk upstairs or shout to Richard to get it. i know the hour rate is a bit more but if anything else is spotted they can do it in a flash it saves breakdowns in the lanes at a later date. i took my bike to gibbs to try him after i was told great things and it sat there for 2 weeks after booking it in for a set day but he was to busy and kept putting it to the rear of the que in the end after a moan i collected it and it got sorted the same day at Albion. i just love main dealers get what you pay for and why scrimp on your toy. by the time you drag it down to sunny cornwall and back in fuel it prob aint a lot diff in price.

Well first off, it was not jamie that rode it, it was some young lad. Second, how did he know how fast it was without gunning it? it was only a 2 stroke 125 that needed to be gunned to make it go quick, and third the seals that they put in failed within 20 mins of my first ride back on it, and it was only gental lane work!
