Well worth a look and click on the 'Relive the action' bar if you have 4.45 hours to spare.

Excellent coverage of the event as it happened.

I watched it live on RedBull TV. Awsome !
The results page did not seem to be working earlier though. I wanted to see how Nick Life got on.
Shame about Graham Jarvis though.

Nick made it to checkpoint 41 before being timed out by the four hours ending last year which was quite an achievement.

Always a difficult subject missing checkpoints along the way. Low cloud like fog made Graham Jarvis' mistake understandable and it seems cruel that he didn't find out until after reaching the finish line first, but the organisers had no choice really. Checkpoints are sequentially numbered so it does beg the question as to why he didn't notice beforehand.

In the qualifying Nick was trying to catch someone and it was very dusty so vision was down so failed to see a rise in the track and was bucked over the handlebars at quiet a pace, broken his back, vertebrae number 12 and 13 but classed as a stable fracture so apparently after six weeks rest will be fine, back at home resting now. Hope he mends soon as an awesome talent.
