2011 KTM 450 SXF

Good as a green laner / h&h bike or am i better of getting a exc? what is the diff on piston change time? i know its a 5 speed but not sure if it will have enuff pace to get me between lanes without reving the nads off it. Item number: 330745783125 is it a good bike? its come from taunton way? gona put a rekluse in it to tame it a bit. please let me know what you think. everyone is pointing me to a 350exc but still like the carb feel. (i think)

Kerry i know what you say is bang on with the 350exc but cant get away from how nice this bike is. mine is at albion having a little sort out ready for sale.

Didnt like the 530exc as its a real long stroke and feels wrong.

I used to run a road legal husky tc570, a great bike for the track but not the lanes as the power is to much, mx bikes are built to accelerate hard, there suspension is also very hard to soak up the bumps and jumps etc. To make it lane worthy will cost money or get tired very quickly. And finally these bikes have been ridden fast and hard so dont expect a long engine life unless you have documented proof of a complete overhaul.

joe in the pass i could of bought meny a bike like the husaberg fe550e fastest off road bike ive ever rode thats scary even for me, the best all around bikes i have had have been not the fastest or a mx converted bike or the very latest ,the best bikes have always been a compromise to my skill ? rideing ability? at the time of purchase ,the lack of weight ?reliabilty? power delivery? remember what you have owned already ? what worked what didnt what we think we could ride and what we know works? a modern T2 can be tailored to suit its rider it multi adjustments both in power output and sus adjustments when you buy a 4T you gets what you buy etc ccm230 ? TTR250? xr600? 450sx?
remember what i said fowlers bristol  were selling the 450SX at knock down prices a while ago Wye ? the bike looks very pritty blinged out lots money spent wye only 20hrs from new ?aww

Does anyone know this bike it's from Taunton. A disabled guy had it and had the controls swapped from right to left hand side. Just be nice to know what its like on the lanes.

All depends whats been done on it. It will have a stupidly high first gear i would of thought? Which would make real technical bits a pickle. Dont know if the z start would make this better? You will have to fit an exc fuel tap? No big problem. How big is the standard tank? 6.5l? With the mx carb you will be needing fuel every 40-50 miles? 19 inch rear wheel?

That would be a better buy, ignore the bling. Just look around the TRF paddock, how many converted MX'ers are there ?

Cheers delv. Is that the same as yours Kerry? See what happens today. Waiting to see if a bloke wants mine. Then see what happens. Loved my sx tho. With the recluse it was a ace bike. Bit slow on top end and a bit loud but ace to ride. Want to do more h&h as the lanes are getting busy now. If it stops raining. Nice to be able to stretch ones legs with upsetting the locals. It's only cos the bikes local and ready to go. Can't be doing with traveling about all over lookin at dogs

Was making a low rumble when I started it up to move it up to my top barn so as per norm sent it to Albion to let Kev have a little look. And booooom! Needs a full rebuild so the lucky new owner is gona get a fresh 400exc. Fan flipping tastic!!!!! So come on then who wants it. You can have it fresh from Albion. It's gona cost me 750£ but I'm gona put the price of the 400 up to £2850 so let's be having ya!
