I know the calender gets quite crowded but I have never before come across an LDT held in the summer. That is one way to ensure good weather! Usually it is the onset of autumn with the attendant fallen leaves and moisture that heralds the LDT season as it becomes more challenging to find grip. Reminds me, must start thinking about a route to inflict on the Moor to Sea competitors this October (14th).
