Aye............ in the home of Trials, reet proper Yorksha

Seen the vid before, nice to see Martin Lampkin doing his stuff for the win, I watched his son Dougie come second in the Scott, last week best on Obs - losing only 35 marks in 85 miles and 71 sections, but lost out on time to Scarboro's Michael Brown, by 22 mins

Here's Doug, riding the rocks high up in Swaledale

JT Where did you find it, lot of names there I have forgotten, and some proper footware Trials Wellies and a couple of pairs of lace up boots. If you watched it carefully I bet you could find a couple of riders in flat caps. They were the days when a trial was achievable, interesting to note that in 1976 the riders were already complaining about almost impossible routes.

Just punched vintage trials into U tube....

I liked it as I as can remeber my dad and I going to watch a few trials and i can remeber seeing Martin Lampkin - I think he was on an ossa?

I also have a pic somewhere of me sat on Sammy Millers Ariel - GOV 132 as a nipper with Sammy stood beside me, a few years ago me and my Son went to his place in the new forest and he let my lad sit on it as well smile I saw sammy ride a Honda TL125 back in the 70's as well - wanted one ever since hmm

Snap I keep on looking at them on flea bay, A mate of mine bought one when they came out in 1972 £198 plus tax  One day I will have one superb little go anywhere machine, funny that the CRF 230 engine is based on them

So a TL 230 would be an easy machine to make then?
